Review: Tommy Bahama Vodka

Tommy Bahama Vodka is made from 100% corn and proofed with pristine glacier fed Lake Chelan water.  It is crafted by Blue Spirits Distilling in Cashmere Washington.  At one time Blue Spirits Distilling produced their own 6 times distilled vodka from 100% corn.  A quick look at their website shows they no longer sell Blue Spirits Distilling Vodka.  The Tommy Bahama bottle label reads Tommy Bahama is distilled 6+1+1 times.  The Tommy Bahama website shows this as an 8 times distilled vodka.  The numbers add up but I’m not sure if the final two distillations are at Coral Cay Distilling, the name on the Tommy Bahama bottle, or Blue Spirits Distilling.  Vodka is not the only spirit carrying the Tommy Bahama label.  Tommy also sells a Cucumber and Mango flavored vodka, gin, rum, rye, bourbon and Tommy Bahama Pina Colada Cake.  Tommy Bahama has developed into not only a clothing line and restaurant chain, but a life style.  I’m interested in seeing how their spirits, starting with Tommy Bahama Vodka build on this success.
