360 Madagascar Vanilla vodka was introduced in 2011 by Earth Friendly Distilling, a division of McCormick Distilling in Weston Missouri. They currently produce 13 flavored vodkas. Madagascar Vanilla starts with American grain that is quadruple distilled and filtered five times before it is infused with natural Madagascar vanilla beans. Vanilla is native to Mexico and because a local species of bee was its only natural pollinator, Mexico was the only region to successfully produce vanilla until a twelve year old slave discovered the plant could be hand pollinated.
